25deg like before but there is a optional front bulkhead making arm angle 30deg.
Part number is NIX91-027.

Well, I qualified 5th and finished in third with the Nix91 at Vonats behind Alex Kosciuszek in first, and Jason Rouna in second. I'm very happy with that Result. Did not break a single part all weekend. Car ran very well and I'll post the setup in a day or two.

Mark was extraordinarily brave to drive that car in a field full of aluminum pan tanks. I've raced with him for some time and have had plenty of discussions with him about his take on racing. He has an interesting philosophy of wearing the least armor and making sure you don't get hit (in R/C terms, that means running the lightest car with the fewest strengthening mods and avoiding bad drivers on the track). He makes a fair point that when you try to strengthen your car, that means you are planning to crash and so you will not drive as well or carefully as a result.

He is 100% right; however, this works for him, because a lot of people know and respect Mark, and know that he is faster. So most people jump out of his way throughout qualifying and mains. Combine that with few unforced errors, and then you have some very competitive runs. Most other drivers would not get that kind of treatment throughout a race day and will end up replacing more parts as a result. I know of one driver in particular (I won't name names, but several people had a problem with the same guy), who was a problem in multiple classes and simply would not move out of your way no matter how much faster you were. Every race event has people like that, which is why I prefer to run tougher cars. I do run my NIX91 and it's great, but never in a race and absolutely never ever ever ever when there is a Traxxas on the track.

That being said, Mark and I had a great race in Q3 for 2wd buggy. He made a Hail Mary pass on me over the jump sequence in front of the driver's stand that I never thought he'd even try. I guess I underestimated his determination to qualify well ;)

Anybody running a Nix91 at the 2016 VONATs?

If I somehow end up there, I'll run mine. If that happens, it'll be last minute type of thing.

Was able to move the battery cups forward 7mm right up against the steering servo. It helped very much increasing on power steering. I'll post some pics tonight.

Yes.

When the steering rack is centered, the servo horn and it's turnbuckle should be 90 degrees to each other. So the servo horn will be leaning towards the front of the car when the steering is centered. It works very well with a standard Associated servo horn.

Center turnbuckle between bellcranks has its effect on steering throw. Try it.

I'm thinking he was asking if the servo horn interferes with the battery cup mounted so close to the servo
