Thank you!!
I decided to go Lipo on the Truck. I'll post what I get when it all comes.
I did equip her with a 2.4GHz radio though now. Nothing special, Airtronics MX-V.
And a video, best I could do.

SO I am confused on the Lipo for the RC10T gen 1 and 2. I was told it cant be done. What is the truth? What parts need changing. Obviously Motor, but do you also need a new ESC? Someone also said regear or change out?
THanks,
Ken

Can't be done in what way?
I had to cut the front of the battery mount and buy the re-release rear bulkhead but it works for me.
In order to run LiPo you need an ESC that has an auto cut-off after a certain voltage. In theory you could run LiPo without it, if you monitored the battery voltage.
The gearing I'm running is the stock 81T spur and 20T pinion. Worked fine, and ran for probably 30 minutes on a 4000mAh 2-cell battery.

Thanks for the info. They were basically saying I would not be able to find the parts. I started a thread with my truck, and will document my rebuild. I guess my decision needs to be to stay original or get aftermarket parts and hop it up. Maybe if I can find a good deal on another one, I can do both
I was told also to do Lipo I need Brushless moter that will handle that battery, etc.
Thanks,
Ken

It would benefit you the most if you update all your electronics...
