Over the top my friend, wow! Gutsy to anodize the tranny, big step, but nice!

I'm liking the Jconcepts parts. Think when my new world's car comes in, I'm pulling the trigger. Besides, my old worlds needs a correct motor plate and undrilled nose until I find reasonable originals.

Thanks! I compared them to the stock ones and they are exactly the same. Why?DMAT wrote:looks nice. I gotta ask, how is the spacing on the jconcepts bell cranks? does it have a little more spacing between the holes than other bell cranks?

Very nice work Asso_man, I really like it!!!! Did you have any issues anodizing the classic chassis? I had heard from a friend that the new aluminum is more difficult to work with than the A and B editions.

Looks like you guys like it too, it was daring for sure but I'm happy with the final result. It really needs shoes and a body to top it off. I might put electronics in and gently run it at least for a few runslimestang wrote:Very nice work Asso_man, I really like it!!!! Did you have any issues anodizing the classic chassis? There was no issue whatsoever with the de-ano and re-ano. And honestly the new ano is far better that the one that came from the kit. It's actually silky smooth and not one bad spot could be seen.
On top, I don't see any good reason why one type of aluminum would take the anodising better than another one. That argument sounds weak to me. It all depends HOW professionally you have it done as any aluminum alloy can be anodised. The preparation phase is really crucial here.

I have had two complete chassis sets from the ReRe re anodized and I agree- if anything it takes the anno better.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Wow sir, this turned out even better than I imagined. Perfect balance of color with just a couple hints of silver.
Hands down the nicest rere on the site, in my opinion of course.

I'm making another alloy build, I'm probably gonna need bellcranks and was just wondering how those compared to the stock ones for the turnbuckles.Asso_man! wrote:Thanks! I see you are looking for bellcranks that would allow you to use these large alloy turnbuckles right? What did you use for the first build?DMAT wrote:I'm making another alloy build, I'm probably gonna need bellcranks and was just wondering how those compared to the stock ones for the turnbuckles.Asso_man! wrote:Thanks! Re: - Asso_man's custom Classic -
my first ones were like the xtra speed ones I've seen on ebay. the area for the drag link is slightly elevated above the outside. I put an extra nut to raise the drag link higher to avoid clash. It still clashes so I'm looking for another solution. The new rod ends I have are even bigger in diameter but thinner. I'm planning on use them at moment. I just wanted to ask about the spacing to someone who bought them.

Awesome build! I totally set my ReRe up as a WOIN racer and wish I went this route, lol! I would put a clear body on it at most. Don't hide that thing!
