Nice! Serious weight savings on that old chassis lol.

It is finally a runner! And it runs Great!
I am very happy with this rebuilt runner.

I installed a Castle Sidewinder ESC and 5700kV motor - I would've chosen a lower kV motor, but this is what I had...
I turned the punch and timing both to their lowest settings, but this thing will still wheelie when you punch it halfway down the straight!
Also:
Futaba s3004 servo (again, I had it in my tool box)
Futaba 2.4 GHz Tx/Rx

The handling is surprisingly forgiving, pretty stable with a bit of understeer.
I added an ounce of weight to the nose, but I haven't tested the new setup yet.
((I may also install shorter wing tubes  ))

Check it out:

Fantastic, now you have to put it on the shelf, it's too nice!

Haha! I already have more shelf-queens than I want...
When I get more organized I will sell off a few of those.
At this point, all my shelfers are at my parents' house, I only keep runners here at my place.

Since this is a Re-re chassis, I don't feel guilty about running it :D
I even bought a small stock of Re-re parts for spares!

I have run this one with an ounce of weight at the nose,
and the front shocks moved to the innermost upper mounting point (more horizontal).

It really handles nicely!

I am pleasantly surprised, as are others who see me running it.
