Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
The part just below of the battery box is a reborn steering rack. It has the same mounting holes as the Andy's...and is probably the same part.
I bought a "lot" of Andy's parts and many of the items were proto types. What's interesting is that I received parts from different brands (and some blank) which leads me to believe that they manufactures at the same place.

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
dont know if they are going to hold up as the carbon has a foam core

glued the templates to the carbon

no extra holes in the shock tower as i dont know where the wing is going to mount up yet

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
got the parts test fitted last night but i dont think they are going to work so ill use them to mock up the car and ill change them out later ... the thickness of the carbon is one problem and the foam core is the other
the back brace should be fine just have to redo the towers

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
so things are going a little slow so i cut and fitted the body and found out that the Andys chassy is a little wider at the front than the viper body is so i had to notch and trim the body so it sits inside the chassy hmmm
also sketched out the paint job and picked the colours ... was going to go with a white and black body with floresent orange, and yellow stripes with a lime green pinstripe but wanted something toned down so its going to be pearl white, pearl black, with a metallic red and blue with a gold pinstripe
ordered some parts off egay that should be here next week and will be meeting up with rc10eh this sunday to look through some spair parts

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
got all the electronics in it last night and set the controler .. pluged in the motor and pulled the triger ... nothing .. and the speed control shut down .. unpluged eveything and pluged it back in and i had power to the speed control so i called it a night
the next day i checked battey voltage and it was ok so i jumped power to the motor and it turned so pluged eveything back in and it works .. but dont have any brakes .. oh well
got to run the car around the parking lot and put it on its roof a couple of time before i ajusted the ride hight, tow-in, and camber .. after that it handled alot better and found out im rusty .. wow
it felt good to run one again
thanks to rc10eh for the parts i need to get it up and running again
