The Shortbus guys were doing that- there were 3 problems with that triple-

1). It was a 20' gap from peak to peak, and on a slight left corner setting up for a very short left to tight right transition
2). I decided not to change the car setup at all that night (other than softer front springs and removing all anti-squat because of 2" cracks in the clay everywhere) so I could not easily clear it on throttle, rather I had to pin it to the base, then off throttle and then roll throttle on the face to preload- and it was easily clearable but hard to time for me since that's an odd thing for me to use-
3). It was the only damn jump there.......everything else was high and low speed corners for the rest of the 14 sec's Tire degradation was a big issue too due to the dry track and large cracks- wore a set of rear M4 suburbs out in 4 runs, by the main they were toast-

More chassis mod pics tonight I hope, I didn't get the narrowed chassis finished in time so I ran the carbon truck version- qualified 2nd overall to a Kyosho sponsored driver with an RB 6 who was 3 tenths faster on his best lap and he was running 4wd front tires as well-

My car was probably the most stable 2wd platform I've run to date, and the track was trashed.

Anyway, had a couple parts laying around and built a B4.1 with the "T" chassis which is now 290mm. Going to try it Wed with a hot 13.5 on a dusty S/C specific track with a fast layout, we'll see what happens-

2. Did you turnaround the gearbox ?
I got 292 mm WB. and i still can get it turn crazy.

Staying in rear motor, ultralight as in a shorty pack?

What do you use to bond these proprietary composite plastics? 30 minute epoxy? Looks good to me although I don't personally care for the skinny waisted buggy form. I hate the DEX410 for example.

I went the Harris family route with JB Weld, but the "key" with the skinny plastic chassis is flex

Not to worry! Reg is in good hands. This is a road we traveled nearly a year ago so I sent him pics and some other tips. I'm completely confident Reg will represent this modification very well.
I'm with the guys that don't like the skinny chassis look. I don't like the look of the 22 and my DEX210 is on the line of acceptable for me, but this mod works! The standard truck chassis is like driving a warm blanket or a teddy bear. Think of this chassis as satin sheets or a polar bear. It's similar but a little more exciting.

It's funny how we go from wanting super stiff to a little flex in cycles. From the aluminum to the graphite, then double deck graphite, to plastic (well not plastic - stiffezell ). Then "graphite composite" plastics. Now we narrow the chassis to get back a little flex.

Should I take the upper deck OFF of my Ultima Pro? J/K, with the cell slots, its a little too flexy without it.

Almost done, need to clean up some excess epoxy and cut an esc shelf and install. I hope I can get to the track this Wed- after that our indoor track is closing for 6 weeks for a serious makeover including making the track 120'x80'I really hope to hit the same track conditions I did last weeks, for testing-

what you gonna run for a body? the +8 cab forward things?

Yep, that Bulldog I painted a few pages back fits even though its a little short in the rear. I believe I'm going to have a TLR 22 Bulldog fitted next month so that the buggy doesn't "parachute" with the gaps between the shell and the chassis-
