Are you talking about the Hot Trick arms? I agree; the method of holding in the hinge pins is a Mickey-Mouse afterthought of a design idea. Only good for a non-running shelfer.EvolutionRevolution wrote:They do exist, but are really rare and the design sucks. IIRC the hinge pins are held in with screws and washers.

No, another manufacturer - can't remember the name. Still suck.Coelacanth wrote:Are you talking about the Hot Trick arms? Looks great! Keep up progress and pictures. I'm still eagerly anticipating the Optima I scored last week advertised as a Sandmaster
. Love the looks and all the metal on these cars!

Re: Ebay Optima find.
Here's a lead on some wheels...JC Racing used to have at least 2 or 3 different kinds of wheels with 12mm hex hubs that would work with Kyosho Optimas. I bought a set of wheels called "Pirate" wheels, but there were a few other styles. Here's one that's currently listed on their site; go here:CON2 wrote:Well gold shocks fitted, not much else, still need to find some wide offset wheels....

-Then click on JC Racing > Wheels > 1/10 Buggy Off Road > Kyosho 5 spoke Wheel Set (4) to see what they look like.
I also suggest you contact them directly and inquire about 2.2" wheels that would fit the Optima, as they may still have stock on wheels like the Pirates I have on my Zebra Optima, but don't have them listed on their site.
