remember, don't use the Hydrogen Peroxide trick on rpm parts. very NICE car!

the front shock are probably traxxas, if the threaded part of the shock cap is 'taller' than an associated cap, it's a traxxas shock. they work very well.

Very nice stash of cars! I do love the B2, it's my favorite in your collection, love the body! As for the RPM car, I agree with Reg! I think it's not as common as some may think!

upforit365, have you tried the hydrogen peroxide cleaning method on any of your 'white' nylon parts, (wishbones etc)? As mentioned above, please dont try it on the rpm car, it would ruin it. I have enjoyed reading your posts, I too am just starting on the vintage rc 10 path. I await your next 'project' with eagerness.... you have a great collection so far

No I haven't used any hydrogen peroxide (HP) on any of the cars yet, obviously I won't let the RPM car anywhere near that.

I have cleaned them up and degreased everything and rebuilt them according to the manual (where parts supply allows!)

I will definitely try using HP on the ones I decide will become shelf queens. I am really keen to see how that turns out on the cars that have yellowed over the years at first hand.

I am sort of thinking of building a "timeline of R10" collection of sorts, with the odd one (rpm) thrown in.....I don't think I've finished buying yet!

Probably really boring for everyone as I'm not really doing anything "special" with my cars, but I'll keep posting pictures as things progress

The parts spent 2 days in direct sunlight for about 8 hours each day.

I'm impressed that you had 16 hours of available sunlight in the UK!

lol charlie, that does seem odd but it did look like they had pretty fair weather during the olympics. I'd say that the hobby has taken its hold very well in you. That's a pretty good pile of cars you've gotten now. And I thought that I was crazy, I go to car swap meets and come home with nothing but rc projects

Schumacher Visco-Drive. Similar to the Hydra-Drive....except alloy

I thought it might be Schumacher, is it something rare in the RC10 community? I was thinking of letting this buggy go, but might keep it if it is something unusual...

The Hydradrive was more common here on the states for obvious reasons, and aside from really rough events like Basildon (or Detroit in 91'LOL) it really just wasted torque, so it didn't get used much. You could go down to a quint or quad wind motor and get the same effect on our tracks.

Nice job on the rebuilds. I really like the flouro JC Racing wheels with the Kermit green body.

I picked this rc10 up for £10...... The guy selling was going to throw it away!!!







Has Schumacher shocks (original shocks were included) and an interesting front shock tower I've not seen before.

Not sure whether to sell for parts, just clean it up, or customise it with some chrome, etc?
