What are you guys using for rear arm mounts? Dynotech arms front and rear it looks like? What part numbers?

What are you going to use for a rear wing?

the arms were made by a fellow rc10talk member. dynotech arms are shorter than these.

Yes, as Jason said, they are the standard 1.5 degree rear arm mounts. I'll probably use the standard 5 1/2 ae wing unless something else catches my fancy. I still have to cut some wing tubes. Just a few things left on the to-do list.

Well, I do have some other wings mounts...BRP, I think. What would you suggest oh mighty one?

I would lean toward something new = without wing wire. Since it's an old/new build and the purpose is to make the car perform better and make it more reliable, you shouldn't have trouble with that idea.
While I was racing my wyvern a few weeks ago I also went from wire to modern shock-tower mounts: tired of seeeing the wing angle sideways after every crash or turn marshal handling.
I guess you'd be looking for something with bodyclips: that way you don't have to undo screws for getting the body off while keeping some of the rear section of the body at least. So maybe not the trf ones, but kyosho RB5's?

Update. Still needs a wing. I have it...just haven't painted it yet.

I would stick with those shocks... AE Springs don't really fit the V2's to well... I know I'm coming to this late, but my personal opinion of v2's are they are the worst shock I have ever had the non-pleasurable experience to have. Putting it lightly,

I was thinking about getting some v2's for a project. What are its problems? Just currious, don't want to hijack the thread. I love the car BTW. I don't get tired of WOIN builds. No build is boring and we seem to have a current shortage of builds. Maybe it is the calm before the storm in mid Aug.

If you have no plans of running the car you build, I'm sure the shocks will be fine.

AE springs do not fit them... you have to remove the color from the springs for them to 'almost' fit them. But its still kinda shaky. They rub terribly on the threads of the case. If you like to use Kyosho springs, its almost like the shocks were made to use them instead. You can get some of the Big Bore spring adapters and that will work too. But if that's the case, then why not get big bores? You will still have to space the shock out regardless.

Secondly, the rubber O-rings do not seem to fit well inside them. When I started inquiring to people I knew that ran the shocks, almost unanimously I was told to use Kyosho Clear Grooved O-Rings.... (big deal, O-rings are cheap, right? Go ahead and start pricing the Kyosho grooved O-rings.)

At that point, I was like, I might as well use Kyosho Shocks. Then AE came out with a big bore shock and then I did not have to use those shocks. And they still sit in the same shock stand I used to build them. With work and a few extra bucks, they are an "Okay" shock, but as a shock to just get because they are AE? I don't know. I was not a fan of them. If I were going to build a RC10 with small bore shocks, I would get some of the older threaded shocks like the ones RichieRich used on this build. (Which is quite sexy BTW) At least you don't have to fiddle with the springs to make them work right.

Good to know Sean, thanks for the candid response. Reminds me of this thread I made a while back, which is why I'm running Kyosho shocks on my old is new build.
