I agree..

I think you were on the right track with the hand built body.

Version one and two get two thumbs up..

Not so sure about the last one... ..kind of reminds me of the Proline "Bulldog" series.

What front bumper is on that?

I need to find one like that for one of my projects. :D

Diggley -
You´re not supposed to agree with Lars.

The bumper is from a HILTI/Graupner truck (German)
I don´t know who produces it for Graupner but My guess is one of the Chinese conglomerates.

If You can´t find something usefull, You can have the spare one pictured.

Mad Racer -
Thanks

Yes, the rears are Duratrax - bugger, I exposed them to sunlight for half a year, trying to fade the "orange" appearance a bit. Seems like it didn´t have much effect.

It´s been a while -
With the blue body being too modern and not to mention, a bit ugly forward cab´ed.
I was starting to think that I´ve cut the diamant wrong. It´s afterall an unharmed Turbo chassis - It hurt me more and more to look at it.
After numerous sessions on the couch of doctor Bonkus, I decided to take action.

First I fitted and painted a new body, which I believe to be a Losi, but I have no clue on the model.
Then I pulled it apart and -
Installed Pro Xl arms on all four corners (I was afraid 3 would be too few) added Ti turnbuckles + the fine G10 shock towers from gomachv (many thanks), some used not too beat-up shocks and Triumph wheels.

If I´ve had black paint, I´d have used it instead of the silver, making the body look more "caged" but that´ll be next time. I´m not allowed to have more than three different colors at the time (DVKA guidelines)

I like this a lot Dennis. That is some incarnation of the XXX's body. I have been wondering about getting a cage look just by painting the bars in a standard style body. Your execution looks great, and is convincing. I'll have to follow up and do one now.

Thanks for the kind words LosiXXXman.
I still got one more of these bodies, perhaps I should mount the last one on a LOSI :D
I wonder if it´ll fit a 22
