how did you weld it together? I have played with this in the past and just ended up melting the tubing. I had considered bonding it together with an epoxy, but I don't know much about it.

I like these ones a lot, but I would be torn if a RC10 style tube chassis was built for the same price.

Where I struggle for making my decision for a specific chassis is when it comes to sand tire options and aluminum parts availability. I like the thought of a RC10 tube chassis, but if you want to use aluminum arms, you can, but they are rare. Also finding aluminum wheels is okay, but buggy paddle tires are rare. If a different tube chassis is used such as a slightly larger one as above, you can use aluminum GT arms and have a few different options of 2.2 truck sand tires.

The boyer chassis above is pretty good. I have one and the quality is pretty good. Yet again it would be a copy and as you can see RC4WD have discounted them $100 just to get rid of the ones they have. The design should stand on its own.

Shodog that pink buggy frame looks awesome. This is the kind of style I'd like to see get made. Single seaters are cool.

question about the chassis that is $100.00 is that a solid rod frame? i would say for that price it is.. to answer the question about blowing through the tube when welding> i use a tig welder i can control the weld better with them(tig). you have to get a machine that can be turned down but still then you have to be able to control the welding it takes a long time to get use to it..

fixtures, fixtures, fixtures is the key to being able to build a good chassis over and over again. i design all my chassis in CAD then i use cnc milling machines to make all my fixtures that way if i ever need a change i can go back to design and then rework the fixture again. with the sprint cars i had 5 fixtures just for the frames alone not counting the machining fixtures for arms and arm mounts etc..

are you guys needing aluminum arms made for the rc10 car? i read some where some one was needing them?? if i had a good count i would machine a batch of them if people wanted them??

i will get started on the buggy design i have some ideas from what you guys showed me i will put my twist on it to make it my design, i am kinda busy with 1/4 scale sprint chassis so this will be a in between deal until i get a good production count going..

thanks for the time..

Had some time to work on the buggy chassis and decided to gear up to machine some rear bulk heads as well. is there any interest in those as well?
thanks

if it's not too much overhead, I would make at least 3 bulkheads and 3 or 4 full sets of arms. I just guessing that once people see them there will be a couple people that will want them right away and a couple people that will want them but want to buy them later to split up the cost a bit.

Yes, definitely. There is another thread by the guy running Dynotech about possibly making rear bulkheads as well as the rear suspension arm mounts, but the discussion seems to have gone dead.

yes, I would be interested in the rear bulk head. Can't wait to see the buggy chassis.
