Have you tried a viper body? I just got one and lined it up against the bottom of the T2. Looks like it would be a pretty good fit.

Yeah it does fit pretty well but the nose is too short. I have another old viper body. So I think I will use it to make a longer nose that would stay permanently on the chassis. The actual body would be cut at the front shock tower...

I figured out my situation with this project. I did end up using an associated viper body, but cut the back off and pushed the body slightly forward to meet the front body mount. As for attaching the rear, I used something similar to the A&L rear body mount (mounts on the shock tower) and attached it to the front of the rear shock tower. I'm still trying to see if I can use regular 10t/t2 rear body mounts some how though.

I know, I know, everything has just been test fitted, nothing actually completed yet. Sorry for no pics yet, I guess I'm just teasing, but it should work perfectly. The rear of the cut body doesn't touch the rear shock tower, as there is a little gap, but it doesn't look bad.

How much longer is the wheel base than say a RC10 Graphite?
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
