Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
The only "problem" with the tires, is that they are both 2.2- so the problem is that I didn't think that other than the TH30 rear rims that they made the (6805's) in a 2.2 yet- ? The rears look perfect on the 30's, the front's look kinda strange on the TQ rims-

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
i don't know about ae, but proline and trinity had 2.2 white dish rears for the rc10 in or before 1992.

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
I know that Masami's car for this race had the standard TQ fronts- but I just don't know what was "in" in Japan at the time-

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
well, kinwald won the worlds in 93 and the car had 6805's, so i don't see why this car couldn't have them....... being the same year and all.

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
True, the fronts are my biggest hangup. The rears can go either way as for the 6805's or the TH30's I suppose

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
Well, they look like a smaller diameter rim to me. However, you (assuming you have the article in hand) might be able to count the ribs on the backside of the front rims. The 2.2 inch rims I have have only 6 ribs, and the 2.175 fronts are 8 ribs. You may also be able to see enough detail near the axle to see if it is a small or large bearing. -Jeff

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
This is going to be an awesome build!
Keep up the good work.
FYI to everyone: Last night I was called and turned down two brand new built (never run) RC10CE's offered to me first, so look for them on ebay as I told him he should post them up on ebay since he could get good $$ there for them. I don't know how much he wants for them as I just didn't even ask due to having so many RC10's that I am only looking for those that are particularly early ones now (Like NoStamp chassis early edinger style ones mainly).
Keep your eyes open for them.

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
Well, I have stalled at the moment on another replica waiting on parts so I thought I would start back on this one
I still managed to miss every Atlas motor listed
, but sooner or later I will obtain one
.
I also came across a perfect parts donor car to keep the NIP parts in the bags, all parts on this car are new and perfect ( although the rear bulkhead has had a battery placed in it ) it also came with a new set of early CVD's- which I may or may not use on this build- More to come possibly tonight-

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
Finally did some work! I put a new Reedy Ultra Sonic in until I find a correct Atlas mod and the 1991 Futaba 1024 receiver is there until I get some of the correct electronics- I am going to make the right battery strap later today

Looks good, but what happened to the wheel stickies? Looks like they don't hold up too well...

do you know exactly which electronics you need?
I cheated, I cut them around the backing paper and didn't stick them on since the car will be boxed up eventuallyAsso_man wrote: Looks good, but what happened to the wheel stickies? Looks like they don't hold up too well...
