the Tecna price fall has more to do with the state of the economy not Lohas wheels.

I offer my thoughts...
Lets compare A real Yenko Camaro vs. a 69 Camaro with a 427 and a 4 speed with 411 gears.

You get to drive the clone for 1/4 of the Yenko money but everyone knows its not the real thing.

Some of us drive our R/c cars...
Some us us have shelfers.

Most of us have both...

The Lohas wheel will get street time...
The Technacraft typically will not.

Options for everyone makes the hobby go around. If the value and sales continue going too far too quickly, we are just going to be a room full of picky peoiple that never smile...

I love my RC cars.. But not THAT much.

I think the value of tecnacrafts could take a slight hit but in the end they will keep their value. The Lohas wheels are different enough and they only come in this one size.
I think that, for those people who are willing to pay the price that Tecnas have been going for, only the original Tecna wheels will do. That will continue to be the case and, for such people, the Lohas wheels will never be a substitute. As such, I don't think the Lohas wheels will impact on the Tecna wheel pricing that much (if at all).

We'll see but I believe that it's the economy which is having the greatest impact on Tecna prices.

Very nice fit! And I prefer to have the hurricane in another orientation as well personally.

Do these wheels definantly fit modern 2.2 inch tyres?

Dear Jak,
Basically yes! But if you choose 2.2' tire, you need to glue it with the wheel.
Or the tire will be loosen during running. I personally prefer 2.1' or even 2.0' tire.
Since smaller tire can fits the wheel tight without glue it. ( for intense racing, you still need to glue it)

Just for you reference.

Just picked up a set of the Hurricanes too, looking forward to when they arrive :D

I could never justify the cost of geniune Technacrafts & the Lohas wheels I think seem good value & look almost of equal quality judging by the photos?

They will make the ideal 'finishing touch' on my Cadillac RC10.... I might even try them on a Losi JRX2 8)

Just received my 5 spoke set and mounted them up. Very nice indeed. Beautifully machined. BTW- these tires are 2.2 and the fit very well.
Thank you Lohas.

Those Lohas look nice on that buggy. Give it 20 years and they'll be fetching $500 or so on Ebay.... :D

The 5 spoke Lohas are already exceptionally rare... 5 prototype sets, right?

The 5 spoke type is more than 5 sets. It is actually in 15 sets. And I sold all of them already.
The 5 spoke rim in here below is in 5 sets.

They are in different design with same 5 spoke center rim but nickle coating outer rims. This one is very special. And there are only 2 customers got this early prototype. 'EvilAsh' is the lucky one. :D

Hoping mine come today, and then they are getting disassembled to have the centers anodized a different color.
