$20 says that a boosted & timed 17.5 will be faster than the 10.5
Not if you are running an ESC that doesn't have boost.

i'm talking more about the esc's, whether they're gonna be open (boost/timing advance allowed) or if they must be run in spec mode.

I ran an LRP Sphere (no boost) with a silver can 17.5 motor (no timing advance) and took third in 2wd buggy...My car was geared correctly for the track and it was more than fast enough to beat out people with boosted cars.

As a matter of fact, there are guys in 17.5 SC that put down faster lap times with their SC trucks than with their Mod 2wd buggies....

Ok guys... one more bit of info for now. I'm trying to work something out with either the Holiday Inn Express or the Marriott (both about the same price) for this years race. Could you guys PM me to let me know you're coming in from out of state and need a hotel room so I can give them a decent room count. I'm trying ot get the best rate I can for you guys and obviously our strength is in numbers. Thanks!

Well, I haven't talked to Matt about it but OF COURSE!!! :) To his defense they came out to cover the race two years ago and he left shortly thereafter so it sort of fell by the wayside but I hear there's one of us on the inside now, ok maybe not on the inside completely but almost :)

We've never been done later than 4pm. Last year was the latest and that was probably only because we added an extra round of qualifying. I'm going to try and have them stick to more of a schedule this year so we should be out by 3 or 4.
