Finally getting around to watching recorded episodes. It stinks and is an insult to the original. I think I will go watch paint dry.

Leno turned a hosting role down the first time a US version was in the works............he didn't think it would be able to compete with the original.

They should stop trying to mimic the original and find a bit of an identity of their own if possible.

No dream team needed - BBC is available in the US so we can watch the original 8)

Agreed the dream would be an original idea. But so long as the show will be slave to advertisers and lawyers it can never be as good.

OK, dream team if I have to pick, Gil Losi Jr., Diane Lane, and me :lol:

wow. I dont understand all the "hostility". Its just a TV show. I'll watch it, if nothing else, for the Laps (cars and celebs). If I get a chuckle now and then, even better. I agree, its not as good as the Orig, but it IS a car show. Dont we want to see all the cars, hear their specs, drool, wish, yada yada??? I do!!!

Now, I gotta go to the Amercan Chopper thread. :lol:

Agreed it is just TV and I could care less ultimately just commentary they can do better. American Chopper? I heard Vinnie is the Stig :lol:
