Re: Mugen BULLDOG mods.
How well did the Bulldog air shocks actually work? I seem to remember they weren't so good, but I did read a review--maybe it was in RC Car Action--that said they worked well, but that mag back in the day reviewed everything favorably, that was sent to them for free.
You had to take each review with a grain of salt.

Re: Mugen BULLDOG mods.
Jason, yes, typically an idler would be used on the 'coast' side of the belt, not the drive side, but it probably won't matter much. the fact that you have it tensioned and can lock it tightly is all that really matters. When the belt transmits power, it tries to flatten out, so there is greater force on the idler shaft. since the coast side of the belt is slack, the idler is placed there to help reduce belt slap.

I start with the center diff, but the pulley don't turn round, so:

The pulley are in 3 parts: 1 alloy pulley and 2 brass flanged set together, I separete the 3 parts and pin the pulley.

I pin the rings

And thrust bearing for...

Re: Mugen BULLDOG mods.
I have a question for J.M. Did Mugen Bulldog driver ever modify the hubs to use different rims? EG. add a hex drive to use Kyosho rims?

Love the meaty look of these Bulldogs! Does anyone know what the main differences between the I and II are apart from the cage?
