Well finished up the detail painting on the Hopper. It's not perfect but I'm not very good with detail painting. I added some vintage gold Pro-line wheel covers to the stock wheels. I added a Rooster ESC. I'm not sure of the motor as it's wrapped in tape and it scoots very good so I'm not gonna unwrap. It's controlled by a MRC Top Gun remote.

I saw Parma's lexan grasshopper body this weekend.
Considered it for a moment (remebering this lime body of yours) but left it on the hook after all.
Currently I have more bodies than cars , so it wouldn't make sense to buy another that may not even fit.
I think you did well on the details by the way.
Keep it up.

Thanks for the props Erik..I think I'm going to install the black back wheel halves as that white just sticks out. I was just to lazy to take apart 2 wheel and tire combos. Right now I have 4 hornet/hoppers...a 5th was parted out. Only 3 are RTR as I'm out of ESC's. Have radios but hate using MSC's...I still need to finish my Frog/Brat. I have the Stampede parts to convert the front axle to a hex. I'm off this weekend so will probably get to it then. It's hard to get done when working 6 days a week for the last 5 weeks. I havent had a weekend off since April when I requested that off...

Black backs would be good indeed.
If you do so, try finding some matt gold pinstripes (they sell these real cheap for full size cars)
You could make the white backs or even full white wheels work very well with white pinstripes and text graphics also.
I allways loved the black and gold JPS F1 car; if you know that one you 'll understand what I mean.
cheers, erik
