Well, after over a year, this car made it's maiden voyage this afternoon after FINALLY getting the front body mount. It drove "ok".

It needs a shock adjustment, a better ESC and possibly a better gear ratio. The shock oil was a little light and the spring tension needed adjusted. It bottomed out quite a bit. The old Novak 410 M5 really lacked punch...and brakes. I have a cyclone laying around somewhere but I couldn't wait. Either that or the gear ratio was too much. The good parts are that it flies really well, steering was typical buggy push but manageable. The sound of the belt drive transmissions are always different. People know there's something different about the car by the way it sounds. I'll make some adjustments and report on the changes...hopefully that doesn't take another year. LOL!

Sounds awesome Richie. I have noticed mine seems a little soft too, although I haven't run it on-track, just the back yard and street. I peaked batteries two weeks ago, but have yet to get to that construction site or a softball field. (no close tracks.. :( ) I had an M5 BITD and it WAS weak on brakes. Just wondering, did anyone accompany you to the track? 'cause I think I'm not alone in this, we want ACTION SHOTS!!! j/k

Yeah, I need to take action pics. I was by myself and I didn't bring the SLR. Next time. :)

Oh, and yeah, it's definitely the M5 that has terrible brakes. LOL!
