Thanks for the offer but I think a N-code is going to be way out of my Price range...bearrickster wrote: I can hook you up I have a 70N code 4sp staggered shock Cobra that needs to be redone for sale. I bought it to restore then bought the 71 I like it better so the 70 is for sale.

Re: What are your Other Hobbies/Collections??
oh ya, i know. i bought my 88 monte carlo ss in '96 with full intentions on redoing it one day. i even bought a new GM stripe kit and a new GM right 1/4 panel in preparation for it a week later. still isn't done...... or even started. i got my 55 chevy in 2001, and it's been sitting in my parents pole building since then. and when i was on my minitruck kick 5-6 years ago, i picked up a 91 s-10 2wd shortbed. since i got it, the only thing i've done to it is drop it 5 inches and put a roll pan on the back.
buying our first house in 2005 didn't help either. that just added to the list of things i own that need to be redone. but that comes first before the cars.

I once took two months off to remodel my own home (I'm a former tradesman ... ). Worst two months of no sleep, butt kickingly long days of my life! Note to self - NEVER try to remodel your home when holidays are near! It's money better spent to go see your 10Talk buddies for a few weeks instead! Who's up for Thanksgiving and Christmas at Scr8ps house? If that doesn't work, Reg or Todd will host.

Re: What are your Other Hobbies/Collections??
I see a header pipe peeking out from the 55 gasser. Is the motor in yet. I think I would lift the front even more. 2-3" atleast! If the motor's not in yet IMHO it should go up even more. BB or SB?scr8p wrote:up until the end of 2008, restoring old cars was my hobby. now it's a full time gig. so, i guess vintage r/c is my only hobby.![]()
and since i'm all about pictures, here's some that my dad and i, and as of late our friend dave, have knocked out over the last couple years.

Re: What are your Other Hobbies/Collections??
Right now we do a lot of stuff with the kids- baseball, wrestling, bicycling, camping. My wife likes to take them horseback riding-- she volunteers at the local therapeutic riding center and used to show horses bitd.
Here's my daughter powering through a little bit of water on Saturday. My son is swimming in the background. They say the mud is good for your skin.

His turn to play.

Re: What are your Other Hobbies/Collections??
are you talking about my dad's 55 chevy gasser or the 55 olds gasser? either way, they both have engines in them. my dad's car has a 327 sbc, and the olds has 394 olds. both have 2x4 setups, fenderwell headers, and exhaust cutouts (which i believe is what your talking about "peeking out"). as for the height, if they were built to only be used at the track, they probably would be higher. these were meant to be driven, so you have to give up the height for better drivability.fastang wrote:I see a header pipe peeking out from the 55 gasser.
