Re: - Schumacher Top Cat project -
Since I finally trimmed a fresh body and wing for it, I thought I would bump this almost dead thread while we're into vintage Schumies. The only thingy I need to fit on it are the aluminium CVD's that are sitting in a box since forever... Hopefully this one won't see the track
Gotta love the Top Cat

The Top Cat is the best looking 2WD buggy ever. This car has polished up great. It's better with the standerd drive shafts though.
Re: - Schumacher Top Cat project -
I must admit.. I'm utterly in love with this car. For some nuts reason I keep passing on the TC's offered to me. Probably cos none are as nice as this one!

I always like the Schumacher cars. Not so much the Couger/Topcat, but I was really digging the BossCat. The 4wd buggy that they produced.
Nice build none the less.

Ahh yes,the Topcat! I have been racing one of these in the vintage scene here in Australia. They dont like big jumps so much though. They are a very unique car ( I own 3) and could possibly sell one if offered a genuine price.
Our good friend Jeroen leant me his new uncut Topcat body set and I inturn sent it to my other good mate-Ant down in Melbourne Australia. It took some convincing but Ant was good enough to pull a mold from it and repro 20 or so shells. For the most part they turned out quite good and it has helped us all have shells for this very cool old girl.

Ive had the fortunate opportunity to paint a few Topcats now and I like them all. Most have ended up with friends now.
