a lot of why i dig into researching things as much as i do all stems from restoring real cars. if you've never tried to build a 100 point showcar, you wouldn't understand.

I agree with Marky Mark, if these things had serial numbers it would be easier--and for example
if it were a 55 chevy Nomad, you can read from the VIN & body tag what options etc--and go
to a site like Tri-Five, ,get a link to a VIN decoder and realise where YOUR car was produced
how many other cars like yours were produced, and determine its rarity, and potential value (assuming some one else wants to buy it).
And lastly there are some of us here who love the details (Scr8p, Temple, Me, & many others)
who can spot an incorrect part on a pic, and only know its incorrect because it's neat to them
not to belittle others
I am now moving on from this discussion because it's messing with the solidairity of the board I think I'll build a Graphite 6gear!

I'm all for finding out what the differences in the cars are and it's good to know these differences so the information is correct for reference purposes. What I mean by being blown out of proportion is that the term "Edinger" is used by some to loosely and/or inappropriately. With all that's being said in this thread topic we have to keep in mind that everyone will take what's being said differently, good or bad. In no means am I trying to down play the importance of the RC10's manufactured at the Edinger address being that they are the earliest forms of the cars we love

.
Speaking of the Worlds edition, that is a prime example of how many differences, big or small, there are between cars even from the same model line. I mean, I have one of those graphite edition RC10's that is being called one thing or another. You know, the "Worlds" edition graphite

!
EDIT: No problem Jason, it's all good!
