Please keep them coming! For guys like me on here still trying to process all the updates since the gold pans of the 80's, this is a great insight into what is possible for upgrades.

Where did you get the black worlds front tower? Fiber-lyte? Is it graphite?

My cousin had this on his 10T from back in the day. I told him that I needed it and we swapped. Its just a white piece that was scuffed and painted black.

how wide are these cars front & rear with the dynotech/klien arms & truck front bulkhead/nose plate?
i am building some cars and i'm wondering about the widths depending on what rear hubs/spacers & what front castor/knuckle/axle & what wheels are used.

what i have so far on mine is:

FRONT
klein arms/truck bulkhead/truck nose plate
customworks castor blocks
rc10 inline knuckle/aluminum axle/b4 wheels
9 1/2" wide (might be 9 9/16")

REAR
klein arms/rc10t arm mounts/rc10t hubs
b4 cvd bone/ b3 cvd axle/ no spacers/b4 wheels
9 1/2" wide (might be 9 7/16")

i am considering b4 rear hubs to get the b4 bones out of the deep end of the diff halves and more towards the outside of them, and GT wide front axles/b4 castor blocks to even up the front with the rears added width. i am just not happy with how deep the b4 bones are sitting in the diff halves and need some pointers.

i almost forgot to mention how beautiful these cars are!

Sitting level, mine is 9 3/4" in the rear(outside edge of tire).
Its measures 9 5/8" in the front(outside edge of tire). My car does have the extra custom works spacers in the rear.

rc10 website has the rc10b4 at 10" wide.
the track i'm gonna be taking this car to is pretty rough and only has 4wd & 2wd truck classes so i'm gonna try to widen my car out some more.
maybe the gt wide front axles & b4 rear hubs will do it?
or get me closer anyway.

Great thread, I have been away for 15 years or so and just jumped in. I bought a B4.1 Brushless and though nice, I have dusted off my 1993 Gold Pan with 6 gear. Chassis is one of those drilled for both at the time and I have a stealth trans ready to go.

This thread has shown me don't be afraid to piece all sorts of stuff together. Part of me want to transfer whatever I can from my new 4.1 to the gold pan. Keep it one parts type so to speak. I have a theory with a dremel and some will anything will fit.

*I ended up only using the rear tower (RC10 03) from this purchase and will save the front one for the next build.*

The Kyosho shocks were an almost exact fit, with only the rears needing any adjustment.

Turnbuckles: It would have been easier to get them seperately:
ASC1405 x2
ASC1414 x1
Would have cost the same amount as the set of 6, and been the correct sizes.

Hi im just in the beggining of deciding how I want to build my whats old is new build. I noticed that guys are using both the 10t and gt nose plates. Is there any difference in using these two nose plates? If the gt nose plate does work, does the 10t front bulkhead also bolt right on?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

the front bulkhead does bolt on and I think the two nose plates are the same.
