I got in early as wearing a kyosho shirt! Doesn't open for another hour.

Yes confirmed. ...being announced today at rcx.
Available within 60 days but not today.
Transmission will be able to take a bit more power and rear bulkhead more lipo ready.
Will keep eye out for it...guess they have one here behind the scenes.

Personally, and I know this is different for everyone, I am looking forward to getting a NIB that I can build with more reliable modern electronics and then bash without having to worry. I am a Fan of the Tamiya re-releases for the same reason. I know this is a hotly contested debate, but for me to have a car that I can drive and enjoy whilst still keeping my precious shelf queen in one piece.
I will always value my original more, but I can now enjoy the car in the dirt without having to worry.

Just had a great long chat with Cliff.
Its going to look exactly like the original.
They had to retool the chassis....was not easy 7 different processes.
Shocks will look same but slight mod so they no longer leak.
Idler gear updated for brushless.
Lipo ready.
