I've been wanting to share my work space for a while now, but I needed to do some housekeeping and reorganization before it was ever photo worthy. Still not clean by any means, but I recently got my shelving done, for now. I still need more storage space, but the 1:1 car and other garage stuffs are taking up too much of my RC room. Anyway, here is my hideaway.

Finally got around to getting the barn wired. I work a little slower than gomachv.  I went with a 70 amp service(hired electrician). I figure that will keep me from ever needing to add more later. I'm looking into insulation now. I was originally going to drywall it, but I want to keep the "barn" look rather than have it look like an apartment. The fan really cools the place down, but I still want to add a/c next Spring. I figure I can get thru the rest of this Summer without it while I decide exactly what I want. 4 100 watt dimmable LEDs. $26 a bulb... . It's worth it though to be able to lower the light at night. I bought a 40 inch tv, but I won't put it up until I insulate or the weather turns over towards fall a bit. Workbench is still under debate as well. I'll get that soon though. I wanted it ready by Football season. I only loaded the fridge with one dirty thirty for now. I wanted to make sure it worked before I filled it. It does...

Yeah right!! TV, dartboard, fridge, video games. It will be a full blown mancave even though I'm sick of the term "mancave". No better word for it though, other than maybe party barn. That term may be a bit strong too though since I really don't party like I used too. I'll have a nice bench in the corner though so I will have a much needed dedicated workspace. I have a lot of neglected cars that need a little time on the bench.

I wouldn't have drywalled mine if I had a better way to hold the insulation in

That's looking great!

I'm not knocking the drywall at all, believe me. I was dead set on it until I sat out there the other night and had my first beer in it. I just love the rustic look the 2x4s give it. I think I'll tightly bind the insulation with clear fishing line every few feet.

ID HAFT TO have a walk in cooler for all mine to chill in !
Guys here use some insulation behind the tin sheets so as to leave the boards visible.I think its black with white plastic toward the inside.Once the tins in place the insulation just stays put. They used it for the roof section on a carport they inclosed too, used pallets to make the walls .Looks like a rustic old shed with new tin roof now.DON

Coming along nicely. Only 15 cars left to work into the decor. The beer is flowing like wine.

Getting ready to insulate the barn. What's the best way to plug these holes? Great Stuff or something like that? The rest will be fiberglass insulation behind paneling. Not sure what paneling yet, but there are a lot of rustic choices these days. Please help.
