One of my favorite purchases in quite a while... some mint condition 1989 Parma goodies.
Catalogs, price sheets, a neat color brochure, an unused desk calendar, and the best part - a full size body poster. I need to carefully scan that, so I can have a repro made to hang in my workshop - don't want to damage the original.
This is the kinda stuff I love to find, it's such a nice record of what was going on at a specific time... :D
On a side note, I see on this stuff that Parma was in North Royalton, Ohio... as I recall, this was Bud B's area also. Was Parma his, or is that just coincidence?

Not mail, yard sale this time. Had some rare free time today, went to a few yard sales. Went farther than I usually do for this one, because it said lots of RC misc in the ad. Didn't get my hopes up, it's usually someone wanting way too much $$ for some beat down Traxxass stuff. Was pleasantly surprised... lots of stuff there. I got all of the misc parts, esc, etc. There were a TON (like easily 100 or more) of lipo batteries, in different sizes. Everything was either new, or in really nice used condition. There was a good bit of slot car stuff also, and you slot enthusiasts would have LOVED the cars they had out. All were $10 to $20 each, and in super nice condition. Wish I would have thought to take a couple pics of them. I ran out of the cash that I had budgeted for the trip, or I would have grabbed one of them.
There were tons of brushless motors, receivers, etc for planes/drones, and some other stuff I didn't have the funds for at the time. She took my number, and said whatever didn't sell, she might just put all together and give me a deal on it... we'll see.

Picked this group up at the track last night. Early Tamiya 3 speed of some kind (I'll be asking for a little help on that one in the tamiya section), a pretty clean cadillac car and graphite chassis, traxxas bullet, and an old rustler and a p.o.s. nitro car missing it's engine(not shown).

It's just possible that the unknown 3 speed Tamiya is a Toyota hi lux and worth more than all the rest put together ! Very sought after indeed .

Wow, Christmas 2019 has arrived very early. :D

Those arms look incredibly beefy and thick... but also very light. Do you think they are hollow?

One thing's for sure, that material is UGLY! I'll want to do something about that.

The black MJF looks much better than the gray.

I just checked the iMaterialise website and options are natural or "black dye". The gray color isn't uniform from part to part so I think I'll try to paint them off-white.
As an experienced 3d printer, do you think the arms are hollow? Just curious.

I don't believe multi jet fusion parts are hollow. Thats more of an FDM thing.

New little project to look forward too.
NRC Projects NRC-Y24. Put in a Yokomo 1/10 scale wing for comparison

Well, I guess it's a photo album more than a book. Apart from some credits to Gene Husting on page one and some captions, there really aren't any words.
In addition to photos showing some detail, I was hoping for some history on Masami and the cars. Oh well, I guess that's already been covered extensively on the web.

Was hoping to find some additional pictures of the three RC10T prototypes. Now Im on the hunt for June 1991 I believe which has the feature on the prototypes. This one covers the RC10T production kit and has some sweet 90s nostalgia...

Thanks Dan. I think you may have explained why there was so much powder left in the holes. This material wasn't in the lazer's path, was ultimately trapped by the holes walls as they were being fused so this excess powder couldn't be wiped away between passes.
Based upon the direction of the laminations, I think the arms were made standing up.
I have no idea how durable these arms will be so I plan to have a sheet of 6/6 Nylon or Delrin standing by just in case. If the 3d printed parts break, I won't be ordering more of them.

Man, you are becoming quite an expert on this subject. I think you should publish a book. :D
