Wanted to get back to my CC Predator Lynx build now that I've gotten all the parts needed....and more...but got side tracked with a CC Predator tear down I picked up cheap to use for spare parts for the Lynx. For OG Lynx..now I've got, the roller, one NIB and one more ebay new roller. Nice bits to add to the Lynx stock as some parts are interchangeable. Too bad the motor plate was hogged out so bad and the chassis cut to allow for an oversized servo saver.

Last few days, after work. Got the Sidewinder body and wing fitted on my TQ10.
Fitting it posed a few issues. The Sidewinder is wide in the nose area and the extra tall A&L/FW tower is a little narrower than normal.

She gets a Mercedes, huh?
What kind of motor does she get to run? The GTR can't be running just a basic Mabuchi 540. That wouldn't be right.

I put a basic silver can in it : basically, at this stage, if I put anything more powerful, she'll destroy the bodyshell too quickly
(It will be replaced by a Torque Tuned later on eventually)...

The Lightly Tuned and Dirt Tuned motors are a good compromise. They have a little better torque but similar top speeds (Dirt Tuned a little more). But being serviceable is the biggest advantage, and they just look cooler.

I don't think the wife read the small print last January when I told her it was okay to leave the Christmas tree up all year. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac, a ways off the road so no one can really see it anyway. By doing this, she unknowlingy agreed to allow me to run large scale trains in the same room.

Marriage is truly about compromise!
BTW, this is "RC" related. One of the "remote controls" is in the lower right corner.

I don't think that the TV remote counts.
If it does, I should be looking for a sponsor.

At this stage, she is not much worried about speed, she's actually afraid of it

This will be the slower CLK-GTR ever

(maybe I should have themed it as "pacecar"

Paint and decals on the TQ10. It still needs a few touches but I think it looks pretty good.
