I lived to tell the tale Brian! Of course we had our first snowfall overnight too so I had to shovel it all and then spend a couple of hours dragging the neighborhood kids in a toboggan that was tied to my waist. I figure I dragged them roughly 4 miles so I worked off all that Bush Light and pizza. I like to run, but this was my first sub-zero of the year so my lungs are feeling it!

Did Rib-eyes in the cast iron skillet. I made a compound butter earlier today with garlic and chives to top 'em. Turned out delicious. Just fell apart. I'll never give up any of my grills, but I can honestly say that a Rib-eye out of the cast iron is my favorite steak these days. I got these 8oz cuts for about $5 each and they were as good as any steak in town. Gotta love that...

(I have been waiting for someone to post here tonight) Pics to follow.

Homemade is the way to go Ken, especially in a seasoned cast iron pan....

BUT... if you are so wealthy like me, and eat at the best steak house in the hood.. every day.. it does not matter.

I have a beef brisket in the smoker, it has been there since 2 pm my time. It is now 8:20.

At 5 pm, I put some store bought bacon in there and added some apple wood chunks. I will fry that up in the morning.

The brisket will sit for many more hours, looking good so far.

Sure did, just had some for lunch. Brisket and gravy for lunches this week. Make some good sandwiches as well.

This is lunch rather than dinner.... but just pulled these babies out of the oven - Bread Maker Pizza Scrolls... made with Bio Cheese no-dairy cheddar and Cheatin' Pepperoni-style Slices.... just a bit yum!

Just got to stop myself from eating them all!

Alex, I wish I knew how to make that vegan stuff. Seems complicated... :?

I like to keep it classy. Texted this pic to my ol' lady and her response was "I'm surprised you could safely land 12 inches." :x

Probably the closest thing I ever cook to what Alex would eat. Chicken breasts and fresh veggies in the iron skillet on the side burner. I can use my iron skillet and still be outside!

But be honest, how long did it take you to arrange all those veggies for that photo :?:

I took a 3 day weekend for the photoshoot. I had a Home Alone night last night so I had Cajun seasoned salmon and garlic and pepper green beans.
