Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Anyone recognize this motor? Looks newer...just a generic modern thing? Sorry, my @#$% camera wouldn't focus worth a crap, time to get another one. All it says on it is "Johnson" and "made in China".
Thanks guys (and probably gals also...)

Johnson and Mabuchi are standard issue kit motors with many cars.

Hey I have this set of shocks... Anyone have an idea of what these are for?? The longer shocks have 4mm shafts and the fronts are 3mm shafts.. Also of note are the pivot balls in the rear shock caps.. Any help would be appreciated..

Jk nailed it. The platinums have variable valving. Unscrew the plastic end and hold the metal piece it's in. As you turn it the shock action changes. The shafts are hollow with another inside it
Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Well hell.. that was quick!! I have been wondering this for a bit.. Never had the platinum shocks before.. Thanks for the help.. You guys are awesome..

Probably a Bolink, its a Modified oval body. Oddly, they still make & sell them through RJ Speed products as SK bodiesR Cane wrote:Recognize this body? Pretty large, at least 1:10 scale...
Thanks!
