I've got to figure out a way to do it now! :lol: It would be cool to add to that car. Maybe I'll work on that when I get my secret 4wd project done... :lol:

Are the hub parts essentially b44 parts?

The caster blocks and steering blocks are based off b44 parts, but are highly modified for this application. The cva's are b44 fronts. Everything else is based off rc10 parts, modified for this application.

can I make a suggestion before you go live?

I believe you should update the outer hub portion of your front end with some additional gusset:
reinforced hub.jpg
the area in red looks like a weak cross-section that can be easily fixed before prime time. In a super common single wheel front end collision, this area is going to take a lot of impact energy.

That area is basically the same as on a b44, as far as the amount of material right there, and it's way more material than on an RC10 steering block. I've certainly never broken a b44 steering block (that I remember), and I've broken a lot of b44 parts :lol: For tat matter I don't think I have ever broken an RC10 steering block, and they are waay thinner.

Right but these are not molded parts. These are sintered and are not as strong in thin cross section. They may be fine, but a couple of small tweaks would make them much stronger.

Just throwing out a couple pennies, no need to pick 'em up.

Agree whole heartedly with Joe on this. I didn't think these were gonna be weight saving cars so I figure the extra material would be worth the extra couple cents to make them. I know I would rather throw a couple more bucks to the parts if I don't have to replace them as often.

...couple more pennies thrown out with Joe's, might need to pick them up if there gets enuf worth bending over for :wink:

Pretty much got it to roller status tonight. Ive still got to put on the front and rear tensioners and belt, and the rear trans brace then its ready for electronics. It looks like i should have it ready for the track on Thursday no problem.

In my experience with this material it is quite strong. I have broken molded RC10 arms, but never an SLS printed one, even through many a horrific crash. As far as I can tell, the modulus of the SLS nylon is lower than that used in molded AE parts, but the strain at failure is waaaay higher. This material can absorb a lot of energy, unlike AE molded nylon, which seems to fail in brittle fracture.
My engineering intuition/expertise tells my beefing these up is not necessary, but you guys are the customers and I want to make you happy, so I will add some material as you suggested. It won't hurt anything.
