I will be installing an Integy Pro Lathe 35t motor which is a well respected crawler motor here locally, but for now there is a 35t dynamite which came in my ascender. It is better than the one that came in the HG, but still lacks the power I'm looking for.

I just found out something rather interesting about the RTR radio transmitter , it has a mode/bind button and if you press it once both the TX and RX are turned on it cycles through 4 LED's on the hand set , these LED's are next to steering mode icons , regular front steering , front and rear tandem steering , crab steering and rear only steering . I though I'd investigate so I plugged in a servo in the open socket in the RX to see if it responded to the modes of steering , I wasn't optimistic as its a very cheap RTR kit , so I hit the button setting it to tandem mode and tried the steering , the front servo was normal but the additional servo did nothing with steering input , the same happened in crab and rear only steering modes .
Well that's a shame but no great surprise I hear you say but there was an interesting effect that did happen , when switching between modes the servo did move to three fixed positions , a left ,right and central position , there is also a steering trim button that up till now had confused me as there are two steering trim buttons and only one worked so guessing it was for the rear steering mode channel I gave it a try and sure enough the trim is for this additional channel .
So to sum up there is a fourth channel that can switch a servo to centre , left or right and has a functional trim , I'm thinking winch

Looking good. That seems to be the most popular tire to swap onto these trucks.
I got my new tires in the mail and finally got them mounted. They don't fit onto the bruiser wheels tightly and it would be easy to accidentally glue one off-center. A little bit of patience and some careful gluing and all was well. I really like the looks of these tires, but I would not classify them as crawler tires. They are softer than the stock ones but still far from the super soft compounds used on modern crawlers. When combined with the locked axles and the flexible suspension, I think they will be fine.
The Hot Bodies shocks have turned out to be really good. Once I got them dialed in, the truck is smoother than I would have thought possible.

@ Kennyrach , I like the paint job , very nice , what lighting kit did you use ?
@ Basher67 , how much front arch clearance do you get with the front suspension compressed ? With the tyres I fitted I've had to cut back the front arches quite a bit .

What is the advantage of doing this? Why not use the correct 2.2 tires.

Definitely rubs on the rear of the front arch. Waiting to space out the front wheels before doing any grinding on the body. Finally ordered a driver so one of these days I'll get to my interior and get rid of the orange.
