My current hooptie
Since I moved out of the inner city a decade ago, I can have nicer things...had I gotten this while still living where I grew up, I would have brought it home that first night, parked it, then gone outside in the morning and found it like this:

Well, the motor decided to let go in my old plymouth acclaim, so i had to search for a cheap daily driver. Looking around on craigslist, I found this 98 grand prix gt a couple blocks from my house. 1 owner, 81,000 miles, garage kept since new, power everything, and it's in super nice shape. The only issue with the car is the rockers are rotted out..... big time on the passenger side. But thats not a big deal for me. Guy was asking $2,000 and I got it for $1,500. Fingers crossed it'll give me 4-5 trouble free years.

While I don't Currently have a "big toy" that touches the asphalt at the moment.
I Do have this Project:

1978 Challenger Jet Boat, been in the Family since new.
I guess you could call it a family project... Bust Out Another Thousand
I can't even remember a year that this thing wasn't torn apart in my Dad's garage
Somehow it always got back together by summer time though.

I'm not sure if this counts as a "big" toy but its bigger than my RC's. first time I got a chance to take this out in a long time.

Last time I got to take it out was in the spring

Here it is sitting still

I just sold a Yamaha PW50. What year is that bike and what specs? It looks like it has some get up and go. I could get one of those to take camping with me.

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
2001 I went to a friends house and spotted it laying on its side under a pile of leaves. After showing interest he brought it over one day and gave it to me. Fast forward to 2008 I finally got around to doing something with it. It has a china (possibly lifan) 125cc on it. The old 1d 3up trans. Currently has what I call "highway gearing" on it. Best I've GPS'd it at was 67mph. It'll cruise 45mph comfortably. Oh and it's an '86. No restorations on this little thing. This was built to be ridden.

I owned a '99 coupe for about 7 years before I traded it in. It had an intermittent electrical problem with the drivers side window but was solid overall.scr8p wrote:Well, the motor decided to let go in my old plymouth acclaim, so i had to search for a cheap daily driver.
