There were several different gear sets made for ultima and optima cars. Some required that they be used in concert with a matching gear from the same manufacturer, and others were under drive or over drive sets. It might be that you have mis matched sets? Possibly thorp? I have never seen the colored ones though. Everything I had used was either white or black.

Yeah, I have the Robinson sets. These were NIP when I bought them, Trinity header cards intact, but long gone by now... Anyhow, any help is appreciated. Thanks!

adam, are the metal inner gear tooth counts the same as the robinson parts? how about the idler, same tooth count? there were under drive and over drive sets available as said before.

Yeah, they're the same tooth count, that's what has me scratching my head.

Ok, so what are they. my wonderful wife picked these up at a garage sale, thinking they were from an rc10. I've been googling all day. i haven't seen them yet. they were with a bunch of tamiya parts.

Nitro 10 towers on the right, top is the front (same as Cougar or Club 10), and bottom is the rear.

Look like the normal Schumacher FRP material....

Same garage sale, she scored 8 tamiya hi cap dampners, and a super astute ttc gearbox. She's better at finding parts than I am!! Had to let that stuff go, the more I looked at it the more I wanted to find a super astute to stick it in. :) I've got enough projects to finance, another one would be pushing it!!

Steering parts = top pic seems to be for Tomy Intruder.

I was thinking same thing on the steering crank. My intruder is adonis and its center plate is aluminum, but those look spot on for one of the upgrade models.

Anyone know what this 8th scale chassis is? I believe it is from an European manuf. I seem to recall finding it online at some point, but I haven't had much luck finding it again today. Thanks in advance.
