This question was asked on this thread before, but I didn't see if anyone answered it. Does anyone know what paint is the closest the boxart on the box? I assume tamiya probably has a color close to it.

As far as the whitening....I'm not so sure I'll do it to the new Classic. But love how the parts came out on my Original Caddy. I'll see how the parts look in my hand. Maybe pics just do not do the thing justice.

that's what happened to me, when it went from Temp to Pre-ordered, I jumped on it. the next day I was billed.3 days later, it arrived.

What's with the stock color....why isn't it available anywhere? Seems odd that we have to choose something that's only close to the exact color.

My guess is that they are releasing stock based on all the people in this thread that got cold feet and cancelled their order.

I read on another thread that someone used a mix of orange, yellow and white to get the color right. My paint skills go as far as shaking a can and spraying. I may have to pay someone to paint the single color with black trim just to get a box art body.

When will there be an update on the Re Re be added to the -25 YEARS OF THE RC10- thread by SlotCarRod?

That would be a great one for collectors of original cars to help them know what they are looking at.

Tamiya Camel Yellow (PS-19) is a warm yellow shade, but only slightly orange hue - probably needs backing with red or black to darken it. One TC member used copper, which was going to be my choice for a slightly off box art look - it turned out fab..

Camel Yellow definitely looks a very close match to the box art colour so I will be painting mine with that. Why it's called any kind of yellow at all is a mystery though as in just about any kind of light it has more of an orange hue to it.

i have a couple cans, i might shoot some scrap lexan this weekend and post it up.

I didn't back it with anything. No doubt a white backing would lighten it up though.

Yep, that looks like a great color choice. I'll probably be going with something other than the box-art color but camel "yellow" seems to be extremely close.
