As I said, it sucks what they did. Ideally they have the resources they could have faked it a bit better and made a few changes to throw the trail off  I also find it hard to believe though that these senior people at AE have no say in anything.

Like if SR. AE dude (insert your favorite here) said hey can you give me an extra month to clean up all the mistakes in these manuals he wouldn't get any respect at all? I find that hard to believe. No one with that many years at a company and experience would put up with that or back to my original point, they are comfortable wiping their hands of it and don't really give a care.

No, that's exactly the issue. For example they knew the stealth cases were molded wrong and went ahead with production by changing the outdrives to limp through it, then fixed the cases and still haven't fixed the outdrives. This was so they could rush the ds and 10t kits out the door asap. They honestly want to release several different models every month at any cost.

You know the inner working better than this armchair observer. Just surprising that no one in SoCal has any say in all this. I guess it works for them though likely for a lot of personal reasons like that little thing of paying your bills

The stealth cases got fixed? Fixed from the first re-re issue (gear mesh) or fixed from the current re-re issue (too narrow)?

The rere 2013 stealth case never got fixed, they went back to the 6565 style (the good version where you can use them for mid motor) but they got the width between outdrives too narrow by a couple thou. You can't use any old diff in em. The current rere 6578 outdrives are all that fit those DS and 10T cases as well as the spares they were selling. They have now fixed that case (team cars have em) but haven't fixed the outdrives so they have crazy amounts of float. I'm sure eventually we will start seeing issues with the mixing and matching since there are lots out there that are wrong.

All of these duct tape and band-aid issues would almost have you believe that owning an RC10 is an exercise in masochism...

Buy a Kyosho. You'll be happier.

Mine will be here Monday. I'm feeling a bit bad about buying after reading through this thread though. :(

I still have my old Gold Pan from the early 90s, and back then I always wanted a 4WD version, but of course it didn't exist. I got back into the hobby last summer with a RB10, then a Micro-B, and then built a TT02R for my awd road car. I have been eyeing the B74.2 CE kit, but then this popped up and I was like 'this is the best time line ever!' But maybe it's not?

If a WOIN, B1.5 or BC3 shows up, I'm gonna be like...... The Kyosho Ultima is the greatest 2wd off-road buggy ever produced.
