thanks in advance for the links. I have the AVID RC one, other links would be great.
Grabbed all my bearings and thrust balls from Acer.
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Avid doesn't have all the sizes with rubber seals. Boca does, about $32 for the Green Seal set. I picked up these because they have the larger out drive support bearings as well.
thanks will check it out.

I say do it, but don't forget the lazy servo adjustment hole in the side of it! :)

Don't drill holes with that bit! You need a much bigger drill bit. Just an FYI pilot holes are for sissys

I am really excited about this but my last few builds have stalled out when it came time to installing electronics because I am still coming up to speed with modern, new-fangled brushless and LiPo things. I am very excited to get one and start building it, eventually. It will probably sit on a shelf and collect dust for a while (I have an NIB Ultima Truck I bought off eBay over a year ago plus some hop ups for it waiting to be built, along with another Clod...another Midnight Pumpkin and 2 SC10's...I buy stuff and never have time to build it...) but I think this may go to the top of the list and get built sooner rather than later...

Same here but I didn't call. Just checked its status on Tower's website once a few weeks ago. Then they sent me one update about a week ago and my Paypal account was charged on the 14th followed by a second update that included tracking information. Unfortunately, it's coming from across the country so (according to their estimate) it won't be here until next Tuesday. I guess I've waited this long so what's another few days especially since I too will be adding it to the NIB pile of projects I have....perhaps I'll get to it in the spring.

My two finally showed up around 7:00. The only person happier to see the UPS man than me was my girlfriend who was "patiently" waiting to go out. I told we couldn't leave until he showed up. Of course I had to bust one open to check out the contents. Very nice to see all those pristine white parts in bags.

So i started my build but I took a drastic turn on step one.

I've been trying to get my brother in laws Graphite back in a basher condition for him and his son. I just tok my entire rere and now I'm bolting it on his chassis.

Gonna use all the random parts i've accumulated and now the rere parts to put my rere together at a later date. I guess it is true, family first!

I was lucky enough to stumble upon a never run graphite car, but all the plastics were dyed something between dark pink/burgandy/red, some parts darker/lighter than others as well (not a clean job).

I have redyed all the parts pitch black, thinking of picking up another re-re, putting all the black parts onto the gold chassis and all the white re-re onto the graphite :)
