Damn, I was going to guess that........

Okay, I guess SS means's "Scr8p's Shop".... in which case it's a cup holder for some older American muscle car..... I'll say the Chevy Vega, specifically the Kammback version.

I thought sand scorcher also at first, but I sure don't see how it will mount.
After looking it over with a ss and scorpion side by side I'm thinking maybe scorpion?
SS stands for possibly scorpion sidewinder?
I don't know, should be here next week.
Anybody have any info about trick stuff?
I think they made the front and rear bumpers and need bars on a rough rider I have.
Always had a thing for the old aluminum hop ups.

I was curious about that one too. It will be interesting to see how the mounts are oriented that are hidden by the header card. Scorcher or Scorpion, either would be cool. And that was one of only a couple parts that seller had that went for a reasonable price!

Just me, or are the two bars welded off center on the curved bar?

Mystery solved, it's a rough rider roll cage.
Lines up perfectly where the rr roof mounts front and back.
Looks sweet! I tried it out on a rere body.
Guess it was mislabeled for the ss when it was packaged.
Will post a pic in the tamiya forum when my original rr body gets here.
Wonder what else trick stuff made?
Man I love the vintage hop ups!

I have had these forever but don't quite remember what they came off of. I have identified the purple ones as trinity shocks and the kyosho golds are in the pic for size comparison... the black small bore shocks are what I am curious about.

I would've guessed at the black ones being reano'd/painted Kyosho red shocks with dyed plastic parts, but the spring cups are different.

That is one special ESC.

Well it is "For the serious mided racer." Dunno what "mided" is.
