I can't wait too get the wheels and tires for my Raider. It will look so much better with the proper sized ones and still have the traction needed. I really hope they release some more tires. I need the Jconcepts Barcodes in Gold compound for our track. I may have too try cutting some down too the proper size.

A Dirt Hawg-like all-terrain tire would be really nice. Tamiya has a couple options, but a better compound would be a good thing.

Yup it grew on me, played around in photoshop with some paint designs and masking. When will the body be out?

It's available now on the Jconcepts website.

I got a peek at it a couple of weeks before it was released, I couldn't stand it- I did think it might look good as a convertible with the roof cut off. However, with a retro-esque paint job...it looks pretty "correct". As much as I love the RCPS shells, they would look "odd" with the small diameter wheels and tires and short arms. I like it now-

My body just came today. It's effin cool imho. Even better in person I think. :D I like the roofline. Only 2" wide at the cab, it maintains the narrow profile all the way through the tail. Tight!

Nice! Is that a matte black annodizing or powdercoat? I like it.

Tha A pillars on those two older (Protech and Mirage) bodies look way too layed back and odd to me though, like they've been stepped on. I'll get used to it.

I like the looks of the Jc body more and when it's next too the other bodies. Looks like a more traditional 1:1 buggy from the same era.

Both my cars have hard black ano. It looks matte in the pictures.

I'm a huge fan of the Mirage SS but when you see it next to the Detonator it doesn't look as good. The pictures don't do it justice.

Still can't decide whether I like this body or not. I don't harbor as much vehemence towards it as some seem to, but... that steep windshield... another five degrees laid back would take it from "bottle-nosed dolphin" to "fighter jet", I think. I like the length of the cockpit area, but it's just a little too Nissan Cube-like.

If you guys are planning any more designs, may I suggest a two-seater, with a wider cockpit? Maybe kinda Chenowth-ish? That would really stand out in a sea of Protechs and Vipers.
