Nice 1980's scheme! I may try something similar on mine, which I have yet to paint. Or my Mustang for that matter...

Gotta get back on track but summer projects keep me preoccupied. It's a wonder I have time to surf ebay and buy more stuff I don't need.

In any case congratulations on finishing the Maxima, it looks great!

I used to run an 1/8th PB Mustang Xi2 back in 1986. If you are interested in these older larger IC cars I can dig out the photo album and post back

The PB Mustang Xi2 is certainly a rare and interesting bit of kit. Here's mine:

Interesting body on yours. I had the original plus a Ford RS200 rally shell. It looked pretty cool in the scale shell.
They are rare but I would say too obscure and niche to be of mass interest. Not many people used to run them or rated them highly back in the day. So these days there is not much demand for them at all. I had an as new example I was selling to make space. It was advertised for ages and didn't fetch much money at all. But the memories of running one as a kid were great fun.

I'd love to find another Peugeot 205 16 body for mine as the one that's on it is rough. You are right about not much mass appeal for stuff like this which is a shame as they are brilliant bits of kit and I dare say would look awesome on the shelf, if nothing else, when they have been restored or in as new condition.
Not sure what I have planned for mine to be honest. It is largely complete and what's there is useable so it's just a case of stripping, cleaning and finding a new body for it but finding a period correct body is proving to be the stumbling block at the moment.

I've been looking for a Mini Mustang for ages and one turned up on Ebay for a reasonable b.i.n so I bought it

Need some work and a couple of parts (bumper mount and bumper) but it looks solid enough under the dirt. Here's a couple of pics:

You can't argue with red, white and blue to make a statement! Well played, sir!

Do any of you have a Mini Mustang chassis that I could borrow? Incredible_Serious asked if I could make a few copies for him and I'd love to be able to help him out. I won't damage it and if I can borrow one I'll gladly send a copy back with the original. Pick a color, blue, black, or tan!

Someone, please!!!!!! I'd send one if I had a good condition one..... but mine are broken, have extra screw holes, and are scratched to the outhouse on the edges....
