I had one of the pink/maroon ones. Wonder if they will release that one too?

with respect on the tranny bushing set # 6630, the new set has 10 bushings in the pack. I can only count 6 in the original, any thoughts? It might have been asked, but way to many pages to go over

6 bushings in the tranny and the last 4 could be used in the rear hub
(Page 10)
However the front wheel bushings are also #6630
(Page 17)
As I see it.. There's 4 bushings missing from that photo

These "bushings" you speak of, do you mean the little round things I throw in a container with all the other ones?
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Back in the day you had to take out a second mortgage on your house to buy a full set of bearings, not to mention the added cost to have spare bearings in your pit box. Laugh all you want about the bushings but if they had not been included with my first RC10 I don't know if I would have been able by get into the hobby. It was pretty pricey at the time to walk in and buy everything to start out, adding another $80.00 for bearings might have kept me from getting into the hobby.

That's a very valid point, it is a bit of a hurdle and for new people it adds more maintenance, if they even maintain the bearings. And they were quite expensive BITD, for no other reason than they used to gouge pretty hard.menace wrote:Back in the day you had to take out a second mortgage on your house to buy a full set of bearings, not to mention the added cost to have spare bearings in your pit box. At least you get Oilite bushings in most decent kits than don't come with bearings.
Except Tamiya, who still pumps out a trillion plastic bushings a year.

Tamiya just made one huge batch of 5x11mm bushings, cast diff gears, and those little tubes of grease about 20 years ago and are waiting to use up their remaining stock before upgrading.

As a kid, my RC-10 had the wiper speed control and bushings and I didn't really know any better. It was great!

Nothing yet. Tower still says mid October, and they own/work with Associated, so I would have thought they would get their kits first. I had a $50 coupon when I first ordered it, I hope they will honor that when it does come to ship.
