Those wheels and tires really look good on that car.

Thanks. I am going to try and track him down. I should have recognized the name as I have the Car Action that covered the 91' Worlds where he raced the TRX-1.

Just for the record for the body... Andy's Is Andy Jacobson... You can find him on Facebook too. He has a business page called Andy's RC, and his personal wall is Andy Jacobson. Maybe he can be some help of the body, don't know.

For the money you paid these cars are effectively free. When you have people just throwing valuable things away on your craigslist it explains why people on here do not want to pay for anything! It is slightly different here in the UK. By the time it gets here we have already paid an ebay premium, high postage costs, UK import tax. Bargains like this just do not exist over here.

Wow. I paid three times that for a Pavidis alone off Kijiji and it was way more beat up than that.
Good for you. Thats a once in a lifetime score right there.

Thanks for the info.
I want to thank everybody for their interest and help in this restoration. I will do my best to restore this car back to it's glory days.

I have encountered quite a few people on Craigslist that have inherited RC stuff and they just don't know what they have or they just simply don't care.

I now have the correct yellow rear wheels, courtesy of Spydur23. I swapped out the shock caps for the correct plastic caps. I have sent a message to Andy Jacobsen to see if he remembers if they ran his body, but I have not heard back. I have had no luck reaching Thomas Hightower or Scott Montgomery. Things are pretty much on hold for now. I will keep trying to research the car and move forward on the restoration. Still searching for the needed Mipet and front wheels. Electronics will come later.

I wonder if the car actually used the aluminum one piece Mipet in the rear or the 4-10SL slipper assembly?
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=33320
Any pictures actually showing the Mipet?

Wasn't the slipper late production? And since this was described as a last version it should assumably have the latest stuff he made? That said, the slipper is probably much harder to find than a mipet

There are no other pictures of the car that I can find. Eustace was supposed to send pictures of his car, but he has not

. It has the slipper on the front, but not sure if it did on the rear? I just don't know? Eustace was pretty sure the front wheels were the MIP wheels, but I cannot tell? I would have to imagine that this car had the latest parts on it since it was purposely built for the 93' Worlds. Without being able to contact the person/persons that owned and drove this car, I am not sure what I will be able to find out?
