dont invest a lot in getting it going, it was a stepping stone into "real" rc with semi modular components and pretty weak plastics

I looked at the Ninja, but this one is grey with the yellow shocks...thinking maybe the Marui "Coors-Melling Thunderbird"?

Is the thunderbird respectable? I think it just needs some wheels to get it operational.

I am truely amazed at the knowledge you guys have of the "early" rc models. Definately subscribed to this thread and hope some of this rubs off by osmosis...!

Ok I got some random pieces laying around and I need some info on them. First off, i have a pair of u joint axles. They are 4" long and they are grey. What car do these belong to? The guy I bought my futaba fxt from had them on it but they were too short...any help?

Second up I've got some wheels I got in a lot off of eBay. They are very small front wheels. They have a 2 piece design and use standard rc10 wheel bearings. Who made these wheels and are they rare? The tires are YOU-G PRODUCTS tires...never heard of them..when were these things made?

This is a link to the pictures:

Can´t access the pictures currently but You-G were quite early tires. I used them in 1984 or 1985 with my RC10.

Cut and paste the link to your browser and it works..

Wheels are You-G tyres, Tamiya 3 piece rims (from the Frog, Hornet etc) with CRP? chrome wheel covers..

Drive shafts look Associated, possibly T2/T3 maybe..
