Not to plug another forum, but there are some great pics here: http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=249821&page=7

Looks like they had a nice roll out at a real CORR race.

I am not a Nitro guy, so when you have to fork out $700 and then a conversion for prob another $200.00, that really hurts! I does look frickin cool though. :)

I was at the Scottsdale Raceway tonight(home of the Cactus Classic) and in the novice class someone was driving the electric Slash. It was novice class so it was a mix of buggies and trucks , you name it. Well this truck was slower then all the others but it drove the best lines and never once flipped over.Plus it just looked really cool sliding into the corners and smashing down after the jumps(just like the real ones). Im not sure if he won or not, its not the point, it was a really smooth looking truck to watch tackle the track, good stuff. If anyone is around the Phoenix area and you race out there look me up and say hi.

Well tonight the LHS owner finished breaking in his slayer...then threw it into a corner in the back room where it will pry sit til he sells it. Don't know if its his luck or just a bad part setup but the pillowball frontend just falls apart...literally. First time he lost it in the corner and rear end slid around, did a 360 and it rolled into the wall about 2 mph...not crashed but rolled on the wheels...and both pivot balls came out. That was wednesday...put it back together and ran it thru 2 tanks today and it came apart 3 more times in one tank. Yep, running a little harder but not hard enuf to pop them out like it did. Frustration set in and he pry lost the sale of one that he had on the shelf today by his frustration.

Anyone else get to see the slayer run yet? Have any of the same problems?

The slash actually did pretty well here on the track but like above was slow. One sold wednesday night and by the 2nd battery he had a brushless system ordered but liked the truck lots.

I ran my first race with the Slash Saturday, and all I have to say is that is the best $200 I have spent in RC here lately. 5 other guys brought theirs out too, and ALL had a blast!

We are all running bone stock with exception of receiver, and your choice of battery. Which I am using the Orion 3600. You need to use the optional pinion gear (23T i believe) to get any speed out of it. Set your radio correctly to the ESC, take the ESC out of beginner mode, and let her rip! One of the 2wd buggy guys brought hin B4 out with the 10.5 brushless in it, and the back straight carried the SAME speed as the Slash. We ran a 10min main, 1 minute warmup, and about 2 minutes of demo derby after the main. Cant complain a bit about that. The only thing I see being a weak point is the motor. Seems the guys that have been running the crap out of theirs are down on HP compared to my new one. But I guess that is to be expected with a brushed motor. Keep her cleaned out and lubed, and it should last longer. (those guys haven't done anything with theirs besides run them)

The 2nd heat of qualifying before the start of the race all of us were in a demo derby per se.... I know it sounds a little redneck, but that was almost as much fun as racing them! Everybody who came off the driver's stand had a smile on their face. If you have any reservations about buying one of these trucks, even just to play with them, don't hesitate!
Not a single person who ran had breakage. You will need to loctite the axle nuts though. We had a few lose some wheels, but that was it.
