^ No doubt the worst ever!

For some reason I have a tad bit of affection for some of the more obscure 80's beginning alternative music.
I've heard of the band Arcade Fire, but hadn't seen them until the other night while watching Jools Holland. Very creative this band. Very 80s'esque. Give these tunes an honest listen.

Well I guess to each their own. I am sure if that crew came to RC10Talk, they would be saying, WTF??? Those guys are playing with children's toys.

Finally got the opportunity the other night to see Zappa Plays Zappa. I think the skin cells on my face are just now beginning to form again. Yes, it was that good! They played for two hours straight without so much as a hiccup. And when I mean played, I'm talking about such a wide array of tunes that are very technical yet have a great feel to them. The entire band is just so freakin' outstanding! You kinda have to 'get' Franks music, but Dweezil and his band really take it to another level. Attached is a video from the DVD they put out a few years ago and a clip of the show ending jam that I attended.

Great guitar solos with a very special guest...

iphone audio is lame, but the guitar was so loud at this venue.

Well the big day is tomorrow........ I'm getting married! 8) Hopefully the weather holds up as the ceremony is to be outside but Plan B inside is covered too. Lots of planning the past several months. Having a band there(of course!), and the full catered dealio. Should be a great time. Wish me luck fellas! :D

Congratulations Bobber! If I were at the reception I'd have requested the same two songs I always do and go the extra step to dedicate them to my beautiful wife and the newly wedded happy couple. Their panties pretty much just spontaneously combust after that! The second tune is one of my favorites. A little piece of trivia: same lead singer, 2 different bands. Great pipes!

About fell over when this came up random on my ipod earlier! Been 25 years since I heard it! Totally takes me back to jammin' the cassette in my walkman while mowing the lawn circa 1990 at my parent's. Young M.C. can hang with the best of em'! The album title stood for s.c.r. which I always thought was so appropriate! 8) Whole album is killer!

Thanks gents! Wedding was a great success. Perfect day! 8)

Oh yeah, I think I still have the Bust a Move casette single carboard and all hangin' around somewhere in the attic.
Kids these days just don't appreciate the fine 80's rap that is 'Boss' as they say. :D

Feeling a little bit Ryan Adams this evening. Not to EVER be confused with Brian Adams...
