I agree its going to make it confusing  to a lot of people. Apparently the new buggy will not have a lot of exact parts so that the new release does not effect the vintage cars value. Anyway I definitely want to get one whenever I get the $$$ for my son to drive..

I think most the parts will be visually near impossible (with the fantastic eBay picture system) to discern between original and RE-RE. "Pin push" areas are a lot of the changes, only some items are visually different (rear bulkhead & battery cups come to mind). Chassis will have no stamp, the "AE" logo on the noseplate has been revised. I dont think there is any change to the motor plate or shock bodies (top loader versions).

I personally cannot wait to have this in hand, build it up, toss in some modern electronics/tires and go racing.

I can see a massive price tumble for the white parts in general. At least you'll know any World's car with their black parts are original.

I see the 'expected' stock dates have now moved out to mid September, maybe not a bad thing if it means the kits are right and not thrown in the box to meet a tight deadline.

I checked MB Models site today, they still quoting they have 35 allocated and showing 8 available (was as low as 3 a few days after the initial RC10 announcement).

I am looking forward to having spare parts for old buggies that we want to race. I hope that everything will interchange easily and that they keep producing the kit and parts so we can continue to have fun with them.

The fact that they are producing tires is fantastic. It is my hope that aftermarket tires are also produced to fit the original wheels. Even further if there were aftermarket tires made for the Tamiya cars so we could run the adapters like we did in 1984/85.

I know a lot of you guys run these buggys with the modern wheels and tires but I thought this wasn’t a choice but rather the only remaining option. They just look wrong like that.

that pic looks like a traxxas rtr... i like the old stuff with the 2.2 rims for offroad.. stock or small rims are cool onroad , baseball field or any other place you dont want extra clearance . the real problem is the 2.2 rims with short arms. even if you run them inside out they still may rub.. it will be great if they ever release this thing id like to see some cool new hop ups
