We used the modern style (at the time) b44 front end on the original Ten4. I never really cared for the look but it worked really well. I have those old parts still available but sourcing b44 front cva's is the hard part. This bolts right on to the modern Ten4.1 though, as shown

Can the hardware experts tell is that all metric now? Or do we ourselves a mixture? Maybe just ball studs and ball cups perhaps are? Rest looks standard to my eye at least.

On vintage arms the new parts do tend to look heavy and clunky. I'm starting to like how they look on my Pro SE with the alloy uprights.

When did the Asscoiated go metric with the 4wd? Looks like std up to B44.3, but they changed their naming at some point, which I'm guessing is when they changed to all metric.

B44.3 model specifically had a few metric screws thrown in, they can be seen in manual breakout. B64 was next and metric from then on far as I can tell.

Wonder what parts we can use, like Yoke front C hubs and carriers and rear to use yoke wheels. Unfortunately, the stealth will still limit it to the 90-91 timeframe, against better 4WDs. A MIP style copy 3 gear in the spirit might work, if its same position.

Looking at part images, sort of looks as if they shot the B74 uprights in natural and made a caster block adapter. But that would mean metric CVD's, which they don't appear to match the B74 style.

*EDIT* Looking again, the front CVD's are definitely different from the rear. Looks like a metric front and imperial rear.

I don't see team car specific parts (.71 shock bodies) being stocked ay associated, so I wonder if these will end up kit specific parts.

Till you realized the front trans case is also stealth making it still 90s.

Well a Stealth was just a reverse engineered MIP 3 gear to my eye, so there is that.

One thing that I did on the ten4.1 was to use the Kyosho style front knuckles and a similar style carrier to what Eustace did, to try to keep it more era correct. Thus the old Kyosho offset wheels too. Of course the belt width is a dead giveaway, but the rest of the car could have very well been made back in the 90s without any issues.

I was sort of hoping they would put clamping hexes on the rear as well giving us some more rear wheel options on a 3/16 axle......sigh. B74 front hubs, metric ball studs but old school rear offset wheels? Seems a little half baked to me. Keep it old school or do a proper update not this half and half stuff.
