Re-Release are allowed, provided the car was built before 1994.

Tamiya very slightly modified the Fox during the re release, I have one on the way, but I am wondering if it is still allowed since it is pretty much the same. But since its not 100% the fox they are calling it the Novafox.

Here is the model,

Still think it's okay? It is the only thing I would have eligible to run.

Absolutely, that Fox re-re will be perfect in the classic class... Tamiya isn't doing anything to that chassis to disqualify it from running at the Vonats.

I believe there was some discussion on that a few pages back. Bethel is fairly close to Danbury, which is pretty big and should have a ton of hotels. Or you can do a Google Maps search for hotels near Bethel and see what pops up.

For hotels you'll want to stay on Newtown Rd. in Danbury. There are a few hotels. I believe a few people stayed at the Microtel in Bethel and the Comfort (or Quality) Inn in Danbury. There's also a Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and some sort of Marriott over there too. Along those lines... the route to the track is a little different this year, I'm trying to figure out the best way to give people directions for the hotel to the track. Seems the Town of Bethel took apart this bridge and has been "working on it" since the Fall last year!

For the heavy metal class.. I have a clodbuster I use for pulling.. Could I use it as is for this class? It's stock.. running the 22T Mag mayhems though. Are those too hot of a motor?

This has been brought up just about every year the race is held, as far as the Clod Busters go. There is simply no comparison in speed with a typical heavy metal truck and clod, both running silver can motors. Many people want to run their Clods, but don't have many options with brushed motor power plants. Yeah there's 17.5 brushless, but then you have to buy 2 of everything. Gets pricey.

I hope we have a full class of Clods this year. Please don't leave yours at home! I don't think a Clod with 22 turn mayhems will be turned away.

I'm up for bringing it.. I just don't want to change anything due to time restraints (not to mention needing whatever would be deemed legal). I need it the very next weekend for a Pull up here in NY.

I don't want to rustle feathers tho and start a huge rule challenge.

i think last year the clods were run in the heavy metal, but they were scored separate than say the blackfoots and king cabs. so even if the clods had to run 540 silver cans, you're really only racing one another (other clods).
