I figured if there was only one thread for all of FOFF (sorry to stray from that and end up building a KOH build) then the admins wouldn't be too upset. I'm sure a Scale, FOFF and a KOH section would be out of the question unless they were vintage RCs turned into new builds
well its ours now!!
sorry I have a case of dumba*s what is a FOFF and a HOH???
I built a cool truck because thats what I want to do with my real Bronco. I wish I could find a 1989 Bronco body I would do it! this one will have to due for now.

Well I was going to lay low for a while myself. and I have been trying to get out of RC for a while. then tonight my beautiful daughter out of the blue bought me one of those pulled apart Wraith Cages on Evilbay for Fathers Day!!! so with the lot I got from you and the lot I already had I am very close to haveing one of these my self. So with a Fathers day spent working with the Boy Scouts doing manual labor, it sure turned out to be a great day!!
So looks like you aren't too upset that you didn't cool off the hobby, lol. Sounds like you had to do some hard work at Boy Scouts, glad your daughter balanced out your father's day.
We didn't sell our house yet, but sold our secondary car that we didn't need after the move Time to pay off a credit card or something

Because I had too much coffee this morning...... I cant wait to get a set of these wheels for my 1:1 truck, which might be 10 years before it happens, BUT it will happen. By then I will have my wife's 07 Tacoma for a trail truck. I already have the rear suspension ordered for it, lol. I got some Walker Evans 2.0 shocks with remote reservoirs and an expedition leafspring set. Next is a long travel IFS by All-Pro accompanied with Walker Evans coilovers, then off road bumpers and skid plates, etc, etc. My wife isn't going to give it up until my slightly done up 2011 Tacoma is paid off. That wont be for another three and a half years, so I figured I would at least have the suspension paid for by then. Gonna look stupid without those wheels I was talking about though, lol and good knows how much a set of 35"s are going to cost. Maybe I should just tell her to trade it in
I cant wait to bring it by later in the week. I've hoping to have my Vanquish parts before we come out. I just ordered that savox servo a couple days ago, so I know that wont be here. I can use my Futaba servo in the mean time once I get my case from the shop. I'm going to have to tune it and run it lightly before the bumper makes it's way into creation.
Well, now that I have received my Vanquish products (less drag link) I have installed it and realized it restricted the wheel travel
Here are a couple of comparison photos. I'm all for a scale look but I'm not compromising that much on functionality. Please let me know if I have done something strange. For now I changed the servo location to the axle, but I'm sure I will change it again once I get the drag link just to make sure.
I wont run it uber hard, but I don't want to look like a fool. I guess I have high expectations for something that cost so much
If I can get an extra inch of wheel travel and get that articulation to get me over a difficult obstacle, in front of a bunch of hardcore toyota 4wd guys, I will. Right now it's all about impressing 4x4 guys and myself.
Pretty much this rig is going to be run during 1:1 toyota trail runs (when at rest stops) and trail rigging with slotcarod
I finally got the electronics in and out for a test drive I got to change the gearing a bit to increase the top speed. It will still have lots of low end control though.
Nice! Hey, I was out at the TC4WD "shake night?" at Peters! Cool rigs those guys have! Thinking about joining, but not sure I want to wreck my Tundra on any trail rides?
