Which wheels are you talking about? The ones on bormac's car are stock dish that were modified.

anybody happen to have a spare triumph body/underpan or gear cover ? this was a cool car...shame it never really caught on

Nice Triumph! I on the top of my list for must haves some day (I already have five Ultimas , so I need to have at least one Triumph right?) Not trying to hijack this thread, but was reading that someone wanted Chrome HPI fronts. I just happen to put some up for auction in the e-bay section. -Good luck

The rims were ofcourse the originals and yes I did cut them out. Back then all I wanted was to have a set of spoked rims and after taking to the originals with a Satnley knife this is what I ended up with. In motion they looked great but up close they were a little rough around the edges. Its funny how the R/C scene has changed. there was a time when once a car was supersceded it was considered almost worthless- LOL.

I can tell you it is still the case, I would say even worse today!

Hi Kyosha fans, I am in the process of building a Kyosha Triiumph, and can't seem to get the body to fit. Knowing how hard replacements are to get, I hoping someone can kindly post a close up of the front of the body, showing how to cut around the shock towers. I followed the instructions (japanese text), and carefully cut along the raised outlines on the body, but it's not fitting correctly.

I've posted a close up showing the current body cut lines.

I remember that kyosho had 2 different versions of the front shock tower. If you have the later / stronger tower, the cut lines may not match up. Also, it may be dependent on the kick on that you have on the front end. make sure that you're using the correct plate along with the correct spacers.

I wonder which one I have. How do you tell the difference? Is the stronger one thicker? Different material?
