Thanks for tips , well I've started the project. Gave the sprinter a driver and trimmed the body. I could get the rear to fit properly by moving the shock mounts to the outer hole but I am stumped on the front. Due to the slope and width of the front body I had to unscrew the front shock tower to wiggle the body through. Is there a wider front shock tower tower or do I just have to trim down the front of the body , which looks like I would have trim most of it down comparing it to the viper body.

It probably fits the narrow/skinny front shock towers from the original car, which were used with the short shocks and arms. I have one on a long arm car with ths short shock and it works ok. It would probably work well in your application, might need some internal spacers on the shocks to shorten them a bit.

Back in the day hardly anyone ran this body because the only way to mount the wing was with piano wire, and one hit or rollover and it threw off the alignment of everything. Subsequently back then everyone for the most part used the Bolink sprint body, that had a lexan cage built into the body (and we bolted the wing straight to the top of the cage). BBT cage kits came on, and were popular with some guys, but most didn't use them because of the weight and bendability of the aluminum cage.

I finally got the body on properly without cutting up the front. Just bought a spare front tower and dremeled of the offending pieces , have the decals and ready for the paint.

I trimmed and scuffed the body and then became stuck on how to paint it. I wanted to do a paint scheme similair to the one in scr8p post but could not figure how to paint the rollbar , muffler and the black in between. I initially bought a silver fasicolor bottle to paint the rollcage and tried brushing it on a scrap piece of lexan but it did not turn out well. I guess when I have more patience I will just have to start masking the rollbars instead.

Just my opinion here but masking them then spraying would probually be best. I used to brush mine and if you are good enough you can do that. How ever it is best to spray it. Keep us posted on the progress man.
